The death toll after the floods that have particularly affected Şanlıurfa and Adıyaman, two of the provinces affected by the recent earthquakes that have devastated the southeast of Turkey, now stands at 15 dead. 13 of the victims died in the city of Şanlıurfa, where Turkish authorities speak of “a flood never experienced in the history of the city.”
The Turkish Minister of Health also reported that there are almost 70 people injured as a result of the phenomenon, although they are evolving favorably. The rainfall, of up to 200 liters per square meter, has greatly affected thousands of people housed in emergency tents and container homes after the earthquake, who a month later have had to face a new disaster.
