The US has published the images recorded moments before the collision between its MQ-9 drone and a Russian SU-27 fighter over international waters in the Black Sea. The video shows how the Russian combat plane maneuvers dangerously close to the drone on several occasions, releasing fuel to descend until it finally manages to hit it and the drone – valued at more than $30 million – suffers damage and loses visual image. Despite these images, Russia for now maintains its initial version that the US drone plunged by itself into the waters of the Black Sea, and denies any responsibility for the incident.
