Kiev managed to resist the advance of the Russian army that surrounds the Ukrainian capital after a very hard night of fighting, whose images are collected in this video. Despite the fact that the Russian troops are less than 30 km from the city centre, the country’s president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, refuses to leave the capital and assures that he will resist, but asks Europe for more help: “We have survived the night, and we are successfully repelling the enemy’s attacks,” he said. Last night, the US offered Zelensky help to get out of Kiev. The Ukrainian president replied: “The fight is here. I need ammunition, not a ride.”
