Russian tanks penetrated for the first time this morning on the outskirts of the Ukrainian capital, Kiev, while the Ukrainian army seems unable to stop the advance of Russian troops, who yesterday seized the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, penetrated the country from three fronts , and are already besieging cities like Odessa or Kharkov. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov insisted today that Ukraine is not a democratic country and that the objective of the Russian operation is to “demilitarise and denazify Ukraine“, and assured that Moscow is willing to negotiate an armistice if Ukraine surrenders and compromises to not joining NATO.
