Ukrainian citizens residing in Turkey gathered this morning in front of the Russian consulate, located in the Beyoğlu district, in the heart of Istanbul. Protesters chanted anti-Putin slogans and carried banners calling for an end to the war and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, warning that if Russia is not stopped now, other countries will suffer the same fate as Ukraine. “We beg you, we need help, not tomorrow, but now. People are dying there because Putin is a fascist,” said one of the protesters.
