A pro-Ukrainian group was behind last year’s sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipelines, according to US intelligence reports published yesterday by The New York Times, although there is no evidence to point to involvement by Zelensky or of his government, or an order given by Kiev to attack the gas pipelines. The reports indicate that the attackers are opposed to Russian President Vladimir Putin, although they do not specify who is behind that group or who financed the operation. Other information assures that the saboteurs left in a boat from Germany. Russia, which accuses the West of being behind the operation, will ask the UN Security Council at the end of March to launch an international investigation into the incident.
