The new updated death toll from the 7.8 and 7.6 earthquakes that devastated 11 southeastern provinces of Turkey on February 6, destroying or seriously damaging more than 230,000 buildings and leaving 1.5 million people homeless, amounts to 48,448 dead, according to the most recent data released this Monday by the Turkish Minister of the Interior, Süleyman Soylu, who explained that to date 13,808 mobile toilets have been installed in the disaster area, in addition to some 21,000 container homes, although the goal is to reach 115,585.
