We present you an original recipe in which we use our imagination to prepare a typical Turkish dish, the mantı, but using potatoes.
Ingredients for 6 people
- 1 kg of potatoes
- 6 tablespoons olive oil
- 6 tablespoons chopped parsley
- pepper and salt
For the stuffing:
- 300 g minced meat
- 1 onion
- 4 tablespoons tomato sauce
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon pepper, thyme and salt
To pour on top:
- 4 natural yoghurts
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of hot or sweet paprika
Preparation
Wash the potatoes and boil them in a saucepan over a low heat for 20 minutes, until they are very soft. Then peel and grate them.
Put the grated potato, oil, parsley, pepper and salt in a bowl and mix well until a homogeneous mass is formed. With the resulting mixture, make small balls. Then shape each one into a bowl shape.
Then mix the natural yoghurt, salt and finely chopped garlic in a bowl. With this you will prepare the yoghurt sauce.
In the meantime, prepare the filling. To do this, peel, wash and chop the onion, and then prepare a frying pan with olive oil in which you will fry the chopped onion. When the onion is cooked and transparent, add the minced meat and fry for about 5 minutes. Add the tomato sauce and fry for a further 2 minutes. Finally add the pepper and salt, mix well and leave to cool.
Fill the potato bowls with this mixture. When the potato bowls are filled, serve them on a plate and pour the yoghurt sauce over them. Finally, garnish the result with hot olive oil and sweet or hot paprika.
The potato mantı is now ready to serve at the table.
Enjoy!
