The Istanbul Coffee Festival, Istanbul’s largest coffee-related event, concludes its 11th edition today Sunday 14 September, bringing together music and coffee lovers in the Asian district of Kadıköy for four days.
This year’s edition of the festival, held between 11 and 14 September, has hosted all kinds of events: from workshops and tastings, to concerts by renowned groups and artists such as Levent Yüksel, Ceza, Madrigal or Haluk Levent. In addition, for the first time this year the festival included a specially designed children’s area sponsored by Türk Telekom with activities for families, as well as a Türk Telekom Prime Lounge area offering sweets, interactive events and live contests.
The first edition of the Istanbul Coffee Festival was held in 2014; from the beginning it was conceived as a coffee festival to bring together coffee lovers to address not only the taste, texture and preparation of different types of coffee, but also the culture surrounding it, bringing together companies, distributors and suppliers, exporters, coffee machine manufacturers, coffee artisans, and all fans of this beverage of Ethiopian origin.
Today the Istanbul Coffee Festival has become one of the world’s most important coffee events, offering from workshops and seminars to concerts and tastings, bringing together thousands of coffee lovers every year.
But if you missed the Istanbul Coffee Festival this year too, don’t worry; because for coffee lovers, another similar event is taking place in the Turkish capital from 26 to 28 September , the Ankara Coffee Festival, which this year celebrates its 9th edition. As in previous editions, Ankara’s Bilkent Center shopping mall will offer a full experience for coffee fans, with tastings, workshops, seminars, performances, and live concerts by groups such as Selin, Aydilge or Madrigal. Other coffee festivals will be held later this year in Turkey in cities such as Izmir and Antalya. Enjoy!
