The captain of the Turkish handball team, Cemal Kütahya, and his 5-year-old son Çınar are among those killed in the earthquakes in Turkey, Turkish press reported, citing sources from the Turkish Handball Federation (THF), which in a statement announced that Kütahya, 32, was found dead in the remains of his home in Antakya (Hatay), where the lifeless body of his son was also found. Kütahya thus joins the list of professional players who have lost their lives in the earthquakes, in which 35,418 people have died so far in Turkey alone. 9 football clubs from the 10 provinces in Turkey affected by the earthquakes, have already announced their withdrawal from the league.
