Kılıçdaroğlu vows to return refugees to Syria if he wins the elections

Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, candidate of the coalition of opposition parties running in Turkey’s upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections, has once again promised to return the refugees to Syria if he wins the May 14 elections. “I have come to point 0 of the border,” he said, visiting the border province of Hatay, one of the most affected by the recent earthquakes. “I have come to say that my presidency will have two great objectives: the 1st is to return the Syrians back to their country; the 2nd is to return those who entered illegally from Iran back to Iran. We have to return our streets and neighborhoods to whom they belong… In short, we will say goodbye to our Syrian guests in 2 years. I will close the border to all types of illegal immigration in the first week of my presidency,” he assured.
