Fenerbahçe failed in Istanbul and drew with the modest İstanbulspor, a team that is struggling not to fall into the direct relegation places of the Turkish league. After a goal from Szalai at minute 5 canceled due to a foul, two goals from Arda Güler at 25 and 51 minutes into the game gave the Canaries the lead. In minute 56, however, the VAR awarded a penalty to İstanbulspor that Valon Ethemi scored, and the Macedonian scored again 10 minutes later, tying the game. Joao Pedro with a pass from Valencia put Fener ahead again in minute 71, but already in injury time the Nigerian Emeka Eze established the final 3-3 with a nice header. With this tie, Fenerbahçe reduces to just 2 points its lead against Beşiktaş, which has 62 and did not forgive Ümraniyespor on Saturday. Galatasaray continues leading the league with 70 points.
