Turkey, Chinese student adopts Van cat

Chinese man travels 7,000 km to Turkey to adopt a Van cat

Sun Ping, a young university student from Beijing, travelled 7,000 km from China to Turkey to adopt a Van cat after reading for 2 years about this interesting breed from Eastern Anatolia. After contacting online with a man living in the Turkish province of Kayseri dedicated to the breeding of these cats, he undertook a trip in which he has spent about $8,000 to adopt a 5-month-old kitten. Sun points out that Van’s cats, which cannot be found in China, are very clever and more human-friendly than other breeds.
