A firefighter from Kocaeli province, about 100 km southeast of Istanbul, was able to save the life of a few-month-old stray cat whose heart had stopped after becoming trapped between two buildings, thanks to a heart massage. Several neighbours notified the emergency services that the animal had problems; after resuscitating him and giving him some water, the kitten, already fully recovered, was again released free.
