Built 6 years ago in the province of Samsun, in northern Turkey, this Kedi Kasabası (City of Cats) is an exclusive place built for the welfare of these animals: here, stray cats or that have been abandoned receive the better care and live in wooden houses surrounded by forest. The place, managed by the local council, occupies 8 hectares and there about 150 cats enjoy classical music while they eat, play, and of course receive the best veterinary care.
