This unusual and curious image of a chess game in the middle of a lake is the one starred by the chess master Kadir Erden and his friend Sami Demir, who in this way wanted to draw attention to the pollution suffered by Lake Van. Located in eastern Turkey, Lake Van is a saline lake and is the largest water surface in the country. In the last two years Lake Van has gained notable popularity as a tourist destination in Turkey.
