Scientists warn: climate change threatens the existence of Lake Van, Turkey’s largest, where in some areas the shore has retreated by as much as 200 meters this year, due to decreased rainfall and snow and increase of evaporation, which has increased by 40%. “In the long term, Lake Van is under serious danger. During the next 50-100 years this lake will lose water constantly. This is happening all over the world. The planet is getting warmer every day and less habitable,” warn experts.
