Turkish government on Saturday decreed a ban on the streets for those over 65 and the chronically ill, the group most at risk in case of infection by the coronavirus. Other new measures include suspension of flights with 46 other countries and the prohibition of barbecue and picnics. According to the latest data, COVID-19 has caused 21 deaths in Turkey and there are already 947 infected. President Erdoğan has again asked citizens to avoid leaving home, and has called for calm, ensuring that there is a sufficient supply of food and medicines.
