19 people of foreign nationality were arrested during an operation against the terrorist group Daesh developed in the capital of Turkey. Based on intelligence reports, the Turkish security forces registered several addresses in Ankara and carried out around twenty arrests of suspects of having contacts with terrorists from the self-proclaimed Islamic State in countries in conflict such as Syria. At the end of February, Turkish police captured also another Tunisian citizen in Istanbul who, under the alias Abu Huzaifah, had been a qadi, or judge, for the terrorist group. The arrest was possible thanks to the collaboration of the National Intelligence Organization (MİT).
