Turkey will require all foreign travellers who want to enter the country from December 30 on a negative PCR test performed within a maximum of 72 hours, or they will not be allowed to cross the border or board a plane. Turkish Airlines has already begun to require all its passengers (except those under 6 years of age) to present a negative PCR test result in print or as digital media during check-in in order to fly to Turkey. Turkish authorities say the measure is necessary given the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic and the emergence of a new, more contagious strain of coronavirus in the UK.
