Turkish Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank participated this weekend as a volunteer in phase 1 of a coronavirus vaccine being developed by the Ankara Oncology Hospital, based on virus-like particle technology. “I promised to volunteer to test this vaccine, and I have kept my promise. If we get enough volunteers, we will be able to offer this vaccine to the world,” said the minister. Turkey is currently working on at least 6 vaccines against COVID-19, one of them in the form of a nasal spray.
