Spanish cyclist Díaz Gallego wins the Tour of Turkey

The Spanish cyclist José Manuel Díaz Gallego, from the French team Delko, was proclaimed this Sunday the winner of the 56th edition of the Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey (TUR) after the 8th and last 160 km stage between Bodrum and Kuşadası, which was won by Mark Cavendish from the UK. Gallego, 26 and from Jaén, completed the 1,244 km of the TUR in a total time of 29 hours 19 minutes and 40 seconds: “Turkey is a fantastic country, it is beautiful. The race was very well organised,” he said. Australian cyclist Jay Vine was 2nd in general classification by just one second, and Argentine Eduardo Sepúlveda was 3rd at 6 seconds.
