Diagnovir, a nanotechnology-based device developed by Bilkent University in Ankara, capable of performing a coronavirus test in just 10 seconds with 99% reliability even in the early stages of COVID-19, received authorisation from the Turkish Health Ministry this week and will be used in substitution of the PCR tests, due to its greater reliability and speed and its simplicity, since it uses saliva samples. Diagnovir has already been used successfully to test over 1,200 college graduation ceremony attendees; very useful to be used in large companies, in mass events, or in public places such as airports or stadiums, there are several countries that have already shown interest in this device, and even the German Bundesliga wants to use it.
