Turkish Ministry of Health has announced that COVID-19 will be considered an occupational disease for healthcare workers who have died or become infected with the coronavirus as a result of their work, thus having access to various benefits. The Turkish government also recently announced that the families of medical staff died or infected by the virus will receive the same benefits as if they had an occupational disease, including wages, subsidies, low-interest credits, access to jobs, and other assistance.
