Barut could be a stray cat like so many that are seen in Turkey, but he has something special: he has gone viral on social media because he loves to eat ice cream, invited by customers of a cafe in the province of Sivas where he lives since his owner took him in a year ago as a kitten. “Customers love him, they eat ice cream together. There are customers who come just to see him and buy him ice cream,” says the owner of the place. “In addition to ice cream, he likes simit a lot,” says a customer, adding that Barut is very picky about flavours and, for example, does not like chocolate.
