Turkey, cat living in a courthouse

This stray cat has found a new home in a Turkish courthouse

The courthouse of Germencik, a small town in the Turkish province of Aydın, has a very special member in its staff: Ziya, a stray cat who has been living in the courtroom for a year, where he has become a good friend from a prosecutor and other employees who take care of him, and who even serve him fresh fish every Thursday. “He is our pet. We love him very much, and he feels comfortable here,” says the district prosecutor. “The people who come to court have gotten used to him, and when they don’t see him they ask where he is,” says another worker.
