A Turkish imam was surprised when he went on Friday to make the call to prayer in the small mosque of Arakiyeci Ahmet Çelebi, located in the historical centre of Istanbul, when after hearing some meows he discovered that a cat had given birth to four precious puppies and took refuge with their kittens under the mimbar. The imam, who has named the cat Pamuk (“Cotton”), recorded the moment with his mobile phone and the video has become viral on social media.
