The latest edition of the aviation, space and technology festival TEKNOFEST opened in Turkey’s capital Ankara on 30 August. Located in the Turkish capital’s Etimesgut airport grounds, millions of people are expected to visit this annual festival in Turkey, which includes technology and science competitions, air shows, exhibitions, workshops and all kinds of experiences for visitors, with Turkish drones and flying car prototypes as the main stars of the event.
This year, coinciding with the centenary of the founding of the Republic of Turkey, the TEKNOFEST festival dedicated to aviation, space and technology is being held in 3 different cities: the first edition took place between 27 April and 1 May in Istanbul, welcoming more than 2.5 million visitors, a record number; the current event in Ankara can be visited until 3 September, and for those who do get there in time, a new edition of TEKNOFEST will be held in the Turkish city of Izmir from 27 September to 1 October.
