The Bayraktar Kızılelma, the new Turkish combat drone, completed its 4th flight test carrying out tests of its identification system, the Baykar company – the defense technology startup that manufactures combat drones such as the Bayraktar TB2 – reported on Saturday. The Kızılelma, which made its maiden flight last December, is capable of taking off from ships such as the new Turkish aircraft carrier TCG Anadolu and flying at altitudes above 10,000 meters at supersonic speeds; with a flight range of 930 km, the Kızılelma can carry 1.5 tons of payload including missiles, and fly in coordination with manned fighter jets.
