29 people had to be rescued “in extremis” when the tourist boat on which they were touring the Birecik reservoir in Şanlıurfa province (southeastern Turkey) suddenly began to sink when other boats came to help. The images of the dramatic rescue amid the desperate cries of men, women and children were recorded by a witness with a mobile phone.
