The Bayraktar Kızılelma, the new Turkish combat drone developed by Baykar, the defense technology company that makes the famous Bayraktar TB2 drone, made its first maiden flight yesterday. Capable of taking off from aircraft carriers such as the new TCG Anadolu and flying at altitudes above 10,000 meters at supersonic speeds, with a flight range of 930 km, the Kızılelma can carry 1.5 tons of payload including several missiles, and fly on coordination with manned combat fighters.
