TCG Anadolu, the first Turkish aircraft carrier, began on Tuesday its tests after finishing its construction at the shipyards in Tuzla, Istanbul. With 232 metres long, 32 metres wide and 55 metres high, and a design based on the Spanish aircraft carrier Juan Carlos I, the TCG Anadolu will be the flagship of the Turkish navy and will put Turkey as the 10th country in the world with an aircraft carrier within its fleet.
