Two lanes of the Düzce-Zonguldak highway, one of the main communication routes between Istanbul and the Black Sea region, disappeared in the middle of the night after a landslide caused by rains that sank the ground under the asphalt. Due to the intense rainfall in the region, what began with the appearance of several cracks ended up causing the total collapse of part of the highway due to a landslide that occurred in the section between Akçakoca and Düzce, forcing the entire traffic to be diverted to secondary roads. The dimensions of the event, which fortunately did not cause victims, can be seen in this video from a drone view.
