Turkey's attack against YPG in Syria

Turkey kills 41 YPG members in northern Syria

The Turkish army “neutralized” 41 members of the YPG, the Syrian affiliate of the PKK terrorist group, in northern Syria, Defense Ministry reported in a message issued from Ankara. “Our heroic Turkish Armed Forces have neutralized another 41 terrorists, attacking terrorist hideouts in the Tel Rifaat and Manbij regions. We will continue to bury these terrorists in the deep holes they have dug,” said a message posted on its social media. Turkish security forces use the word “neutralized” to refer to members of a hostile group who have been killed, wounded or captured in combat. Turkey considers the YPG a terrorist group, while the US sees the YPG as a stronghold against Daesh in Syria and provides it with funding and weapons.
