Turkish car brand TOGG, which has developed the first Turkish electric car and celebrated the 6th anniversary of its founding as a company yesterday (25 June), will start accepting pre-orders in Europe for its SUV T10X model by the end of 2024.
Thew news was disclosed by the Turkish daily newspaper Sabah, which reports that in order to start marketing in Europe and become a leading electric mobility brand, TOGG Europe GmbH was founded in Germany in 2021. The plans, according to the newspaper, would see the T10X (SUV) and T10F (Sedan) models available for purchase in European markets in early 2025.
TOGG has broken all records and expectations in Turkey since the launch a year ago of its T10X electric car, for which it had to double its planned production while continuing developing new models such as the T10F – which was unveiled at CES 2024 in Las Vegas, and will be available for reservations later this year – or the T8X, belonging to the B-SUV segment, which is expected to be launched in 2025 and has been announced as a more affordable vehicle than its predecessors. The Turkish firm’s goal is to produce one million units of five different models by 2032.
With its first SUV T10X model, TOGG has boosted the purchase of electric cars in Turkey, which between January and May grew by 257% compared to last year. According to data from the Automotive Dealers Association of Turkey (ODMD), TOGG continued to lead electric car sales in Turkey in May with more than 4,000 units sold, some 3,500 more than its nearest competitor, accounting for 56.33% of electric car sales in the Eurasian country last month. Earlier this week, the Turkish Automotive Journalists Association (OGD) awarded the company with the “Car of the Year in Turkey” award.
