The partial solar eclipse that could be seen yesterday in much of Europe, northeast Africa and western Asia, was also enjoyed in Turkey, hiding up to 40% of the Sun seen from places like Istanbul. In Spain the Moon only hid 12% of the solar disk, while the maximum occurred in the center of Russia, where the eclipse hid 86% of the Sun. However, to begin to notice a decrease in sunlight, it is necessary that the Moon covers at least 95% of the Sun during an eclipse.
