A teacher at a school in the province of Aksaray, in central Turkey, has been suspended after the video came to light in which he brutally beats a student, only stopping when another teacher intervenes to stop the aggression. The incident, captured by security cameras, has caused great outrage on social media. The professor, against whom an administrative and judicial investigation has been initiated, was detained for one day and released under surveillance. The governor of the province paid a visit to offer apologies to the minor’s family, who for now will not be able to return to class due to the psychological trauma caused by the assault.
