More than 200 children remain unidentified after the devastating earthquakes that ravaged southeastern Turkey on February 6, and have caused 42,310 dead to date. As announced by the Ministry of Family and Social Services of Turkey, a total of 1,830 unaccompanied minors were rescued after the earthquakes, of which 1,625 could be identified; 1,286 were delivered to their parents or relatives after identification, another 85 have been put under protection by State institutions, and 467 children remain admitted to hospitals as a result of the wounds suffered during the quakes. However, 213 of the 1,830 rescued children have not yet been identified.
