The legendary American heavy metal group Metallica has donated $250,000 to the victims of the earthquake in Turkey through its All Within My Hands (AWMH) foundation. In a statement, AWMH explained that $125,000 will be given to Direct Relief and World Central Kitchen, two NGOs that work on the ground distributing medical aid and food to those affected. In the case of World Central Kitchen, this organization was founded in 2010 by the Spanish chef José Andrés, who is currently in the area affected by the earthquakes and is distributing some 125,000 meals a day.
