Several provinces of the Black Sea region, in the north of Turkey, were affected this Monday by serious floods that have caused significant damage, especially in the province of Kastamonu, where homes and shops were flooded by the flooding of the rivers of the area, which even dragged several bridges and caused road and power cuts, forcing several trapped people to be rescued by helicopter. Kastamonu already suffered last summer one of the biggest natural disasters in Turkey’s history, when floods swept through the province leaving more than 80 dead.
