The heat wave from Africa that has hit Turkey in recent days is leaving record temperatures in many areas of the country. In the city of Ordu, located in the humid Black Sea region, thermometers have reached 34 degrees, breaking the record of 31.4 degrees in 1980; but it has been worse in Antalya, where on Sunday temperature reached 43 degrees, surpassing the previous record of 38.7 degrees established in May 1945. Although the heat has subsided in many regions of the country, it is expected to continue for several more days in the Aegean and central and southeastern Anatolia.
