Turkish President Tayyip Erdoğan presided over the start-up ceremony for the works on the factory where the first electric car designed with Turkish technology will be produced; located in the city of Gemlik (in the province of Bursa), it will come into operation in late 2022. Erdoğan defined the plant as “a large production complex that will change the factory concept.” The investment in the plant, which can produce 175,000 vehicles per year, is around 3,000 million euros.
