A member of the Daesh terrorist group was arrested by Turkish security forces as he was preparing to carry out an attack in Istanbul, Turkish media reported. Turkey’s anti-terrorism sources said the suspect, identified by the acronym A.H. and described as a “lone terrorist”, possibly planning to blow himself up in a suicide bombing, was detained during an operation in the Bahçelievler district, west of the city. During the raid on the house, two unlicensed pistols, several ammunition cartridges, materials to make a bomb, and numerous Daesh digital documents explaining how to make a bomb and commit terrorist attacks were found.
