Coinciding with the celebration on April 23 of the Children and National Sovereignty Day, which commemorates the date in 1920 when Atatürk instituted the National Assembly during the Turkish War of Independence, dozens of balloons flew over the landscapes of Cappadocia waving large flags of Turkey and huge portraits of Atatürk.
