Istanbul, highest flag in Turkey

Turkey’s tallest flag inaugurated in Istanbul

The tallest flag in Turkey, located on a pole that reaches 111 metres in height and weighs 100 tons, was inaugurated and raised on April 23, coinciding with the celebration of the Children and National Sovereignty Day, which commemorates the creation in 1920 by Atatürk of the Turkish parliament. The huge flag, with an area of 1,000 square metres, has been raised on the hill of Çamlıca, where the largest mosque ever built in Turkey was also inaugurated in 2019.
