A week after floods devastated several towns, leaving 6 dead and two missing in Rize province, located in northern Turkey in the eastern Black Sea region, rains again caused severe flooding yesterday in Fındıklı district and in neighbouring Artvin province, forcing hundreds of people to evacuate and causing power outages. The Turkish president visited today the areas affected by last week’s floods, promising aid and the reconstruction of more than 550 damaged buildings.
