2 players from Kocaelispor, a Turkish football team from the 2nd B division, were injured on Friday night when the bus in which the team was parading to celebrate their promotion to the 2nd A division passed under a bridge. The players were on board of an open-top bus that was driving through the streets of Kocaeli – in northwestern Turkey – to celebrate their 4-0 win over Sakaryaspor (which gave them the right to promotion) when two team members were hit by a bridge were wounded; one of them, Bahri Can, fell to the road from the top of the vehicle, although the club reports that he is recovering well.
