Istanbul was the scene on Saturday of spectacular celebrations with images and sound on the occasion of the 568th anniversary of the conquest of Constantinople, which in 1453 finally fell to the Ottomans led by Sultan Mehmet II. For the event, for the first time in Turkey, video mapping technology was used, which allows 3D images to be projected onto real surfaces and buildings.
