The dense fog that covered much of Istanbul this past weekend, causing the interruption of maritime traffic due to low visibility, nevertheless left spectacular images of the city, such as these in which the historic peninsula with Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque peeking through wisps of fog, is seen from the air.
