The coronavirus pandemic has left unusual and never-before-seen images of Hajj, the annual pilgrimage to Mecca, which welcomes some 2.5 million Muslims each year and which this year, for the first time in modern history, has been restricted to only 10,000 faithful, all of them residing in Saudi Arabia and under strict hygiene measures, including the continued use of a mask and the maintenance of the safety distance.
